We rode from Arkansas to Ocean City, Maryland to start the loneliest highway which is Hwy 50 that ends in West Sacramento, California. After that we rode down to El Paso, Texas at the Mexico border to ride Hwy 62 up to Buffalo, New York to the Canada border. We then rode over to Sturgis, South Dakota for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Arkansas Twisted Lady < Back Distance: 126 miles Estimated Ride Time: 3 hrs 2 mins This 126 loop: The Twisted Lady Route is named in honor of the famous outlaw Belle Starr who was known as “the Twisted Lady”. Belle used the old mountain trail that is now Highway 327 to visit her lover, Cole Younger and his friends Jesse and Frank James, all illustrious outlaws. Frank James had a home in Newton County and one of their favorite haunts was Alum Cove located along Highway 327. Frank James’ grave is actually located in Snow Cemetery just off Highway 327. The gravestone reads, “Frank James Alias Joe Vaughn 1844-“. Famous Baldknobber, Wash Middleton, AKA Wash Gibbs of “Shepherd of the Hills” fame was shot a few yards behind the Parthenon Store on July 4, 1888 by a U.S. Marshal for a killing in Missouri. It is rumored that Baldknobber Gold is buried in the hills surrounding Parthenon. Come explore this beautiful route through the Ozarks and find out why it was so famous. Gauges < Back Dakota Digitals Gauges Motorcycle Digital Gauges Direct plug-in digital instrumentation system for all *2014 through 2023 Harley Davidson Street Glide, Road Glide, Ultra Classic, Tri-Glide and CVO touring models. Dig into the 31 illumination colors; independently select colors for the main gauge reading, message center information, bar-graph readouts and gauge labels, or choose from 12 preset themes! The message centers below the main speed and tach readings offer plenty of information and can be configured to show just what the rider wants to see. Gauge display automatically dims for comfortable night time riding and brightens to a high contrast mode for excellent visibility, even in direct sunlight. Speedometer can be calibrated for custom-gearing situations and allows the user to select MPH or km/H in the setup menu. The two smaller gauges can be programmed by the rider for their ideal layout; out of the box options include oil temperature, fuel level and voltage, while boost, air suspension pressure and compass heading can be had with the appropriate MBM upgrade modules! To top it all off, the MLX-8414 features Bluetooth technology for the available mobile app for both Android and Apple iOS devices. Continuously access the setup and customization preferences with your smart phone or tablet!
